Overview

Overheating can damage an engine quickly. If your temperature gauge is climbing or you smell coolant, stop driving and call before the problem gets bigger.

We diagnose where the cooling system is failing, whether that is a leak, a failed component, or something else, and explain the repair. Radiator replacement and coolant services are part of what we do, with the work location depending on the vehicle and the job.

Common symptoms

These are signs worth getting checked. They are not a diagnosis, and the same symptom can have different causes.

  • The temperature gauge reads high or the overheating warning is on
  • Steam from under the hood
  • Puddles or drips under the vehicle
  • Coolant level that keeps dropping
  • A sweet smell from the engine area
  • Heater that blows cold when the engine is warm

What assessment and repair may involve

  • Checking coolant level, condition, and visible leaks
  • Pressure and component checks to locate the problem
  • Replacement of failed parts, including the radiator when needed
  • Coolant drain, refill, and bleeding after repairs

Mobile visit or private facility?

Whether the work can be done at your location depends on the vehicle, the parts involved, the equipment needed, and whether the spot is level, safe, and permitted. Some work needs our private service facility, which is available by appointment only.

Often suited to mobile service

  • Diagnosis of many cooling concerns
  • Hose, thermostat, and some radiator work depending on access
  • Coolant services

May need the facility

  • Radiator replacements that need extended time or equipment
  • Suspected internal engine damage after overheating
  • Jobs where the vehicle needs to cool, be tested, and be re-checked over time

About the private service facility

What to have ready

  • Year, make, model, and engine
  • How the vehicle behaved when it overheated, and whether it was driven afterward
  • Where you see drips or smell coolant
  • Whether the engine is hot. Do not open the radiator or coolant cap on a hot engine.

How requesting service works

  1. Call us or send a request. Share the vehicle, the symptoms, and where it is.
  2. We follow up. We confirm coverage, ask follow-up questions, and discuss whether a mobile visit or the facility fits.
  3. You decide. Service is scheduled only after we agree on a plan with you.

Submitting a request asks us to contact you about service. It does not confirm an appointment or dispatch. Contact us to confirm service coverage and availability.

Frequently asked questions

Can I keep driving a car that is overheating?

No. Continuing to drive an overheating vehicle can cause serious engine damage. Pull over safely, shut it off, and call us.

Do you service A/C or refrigerant systems?

No. Our cooling-system work covers engine cooling: radiators, coolant, hoses, and related components. We do not offer refrigerant or A/C service.

Vehicle trouble? Call first.

Tell us what is happening and where the vehicle is. We will talk through whether a mobile visit or the appointment-only facility makes sense.

Calls accepted 8 a.m.–7 p.m. daily (Eastern time). English & Spanish assistance available.
